Helen Dorothy Kiddall (1888-1980)

Born in Lincolnshire, Helen Kiddall won a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy Schools from 1912 and went on to show at their annual exhibitions. She moved to Suffolk in 1932 and became a member of the Ipswich Art Society. She taught throughout her life.

Elected an associate member of the Society of Women Artists in 1935, Helen Kiddall exhibited at the Liverpool Walker Art Gallery; Manchester City Art Gallery; Royal Society of British Artists, Glasgow Institute of Fine Art, Walker Gallery in Liverpool and the Manchester City Art Gallery.

Her paintings are in the collection of the Bradford Museums and Galleries, Colchester and Ipswich Museums Service and at the Wellcome Library.
